Family fun day...

I'm holding Jordan while I type and seems to want to help me. How funny! I going to have to put him down. Okay, we had another good week and Jordan is getting a little more mobile everyday. It doesn't matter where I put him down he makes his way over to Dylan. He likes to taunt his older brother by pulling his hair and biting his fingers, toes, cheek, whatever he can find. (He's at the stage where everything goes in the mouth.) While Dylan is very patient and puts up with it all pretty well, Jordan will scream if Dylan even touches him. I tell Ken it's typical little brother behavoir. We sure do have fun watching them interact.
I've been taking the boys out for walks every afternoon so that I can get some excersise and they can get some fresh air. One day it was really sunny so I found Dylan's old sunglasses and put them on Jordan. Dylan typically wears his shades outside anyways. They looked so cute. I got lots of comments by other moms jogging. What was funny was when we got home I went to pulled their shades of and they were both asleep. The other pictures were taken yesterday on base they had a family fun day. They had rides and the big slide. Dylan was too little for a lot of what they had, but Ken had a good time taking him down the slide.

We had a really good week. I finished all the things on my to do list for the first time ever in life. Okay, so I actually made a realistic one this time, but the feeling of accomplishment is great. The book I made for Dylan turned out really good. If I'm bored this week (ha-ha) I'll scan some pages in so you can see them. On Friday we had our Scrap night and I finished it. I also came home at almost 2 am. I'm very thankful for a husband who supports me in my hobby.
Dylan is continuing to do great. It's almost time for more Botox, but we are still seeing improvements in him from the last session. This week I gave him oppotunity to try and feed himself and he really tried hard. It was so great to see. He is really becoming a little boy. He does funny things all the time. One day this week he was so bored and I really wanted to get things done and I bribed him with a Wendy's lunch, if he would play on the floor while mom changed sheets and vacuumed. He smiled and let me know that he understood. He was perfect and then when I finished I thought he might of forgotten about our deal and said "okay bud, you want mom to make you a quesadilla? (a normal favorite) and he quickly protested as to say "Hey lady, we had a deal!" so I packed the kids up and took them to wendy's. When I ordered his chicken nuggets and frosty he was thrilled.
Jordan is so vocal. He squeals all day long! And normally I think it's great and go on with life, but I never realized just how loud he is until we were at church today and he talked and sang all through sacrament meeting. Everyone came up to us afterwards and commented on his talking. If he was crying I would have taken him out, but didn't know what to do because he was just happy. Stories to someday tell at his mission farewell. He also has a new best friend, we like to call him reflection Jordan. I got out an old mirror and put Jordan in front of it and he went crazy, talking and playing with his friend. It's so funny.
Well, that's about all for this week. Oh- the pictures with Dylan on the space walk are from a great birthday party we went to yesterday for a little friends of Dylan's. They had that and a train. We all had a great time. 'Till next week...

Feeling better...almost.

Thanks to Singulair for Dylan and Claritin for me we are feeling much better. Dylan was so good this week. I dreed days that Dylan is not feeling well because all he wants is to be held. And ofcourse we feel very sorry for him since he can't tell us what's bothering him so we give in to eveything. This week he did great, if he wasn't sneezing and coughing we wouldn't have even known he was sick. He's getting so big. I can't believe he'll be 3 soon and the more I prepare things for school the more I feel like crying. I'm currently working on a book about Dylan and the things he likes to do. A teacher recommended that idea to me since Dylan's communication is not always clear. This way a teacher can look at the book and see Dylan doing different things and have a better idea of his abilities. Some of the pictures below are for the book.
Jordan is still such a good boy. Although as he becomes more aware of things the more he wants to do and gets frustrated. But frustration leads to motivation and this week he started rolling back to belly, so he can roll himself to the toy he wants. Needless to say our days of leaving him on the couch are over. Also he started eating solids this week. We tried cereal, but he wasn't too thrilled about the bland taste. He likes sweet potatoes much more. The little 2.5 oz jar leaves him crying for more. He does like that he can now sit in his highchair and join us for dinner. We have 2 highchairs and so I feed one and Ken feeds the other. Poor Ken and I usually eat cold food because our hungry boys don't like to take breaks between bites. That's about all for this week.

We have some family members to congratulate: Kevin (Ken's brother) and his wife Jen are expecting their first child sometime in November. And Karen (Ken's sister) and her husband Randy just found out that they will adding a little GIRL to their family. Chase and Callan will have to learn all about dolls and dress-up. Congratulations to you all!

Allergies...

With the beautiful spring weather comes the awful allergy season. Unfortunately poor Dylan inherited them from me. So today's post will be short, since we are both not feeling well. Besides that we are all doing well. We had a great week. Jordan is getting so big. He is such a happy boy and lets us know just how happy he is with his squeals of delight. Dylan continues to show progress and hopefully will be feeling better soon. And hopefully so will I. Sorry there are no pictures. Check back next week and I will have posted them then.
