change of plans...

I tried typing this weeks post a couple of times trying to make it shorter and it's really hard to make this story short. So I'll try this....
Our original plan-
1. Ken and Dylan would drive to Atlanta on Sunday afternoon after spending some time with Kevin and Jen who would be in town.
2.Jordan and I would stay home and practice sleeping through the night without the worry of crying waking Dylan or Ken.
3. Ken flies out of Atlanta on Monday morning to Portland and Dylan has fun with the grandparents for a few days.
4. Jordan and I drive to Atlanta on Thrusday in time to welcome my little brother home from his mission.
5. Ken flies home on Friday, we have a fun weekend together and he leaves for Huntsville for TDY #2 on Monday morning while the boys and stay back in Atlanta.
6. Boys and I drive home on Wednesday so Dylan can be back for his 1st day of school.
7. Ken drives home from Hunstville and we all get back to life as we know it.
Here's what happened---
On Saturday night Dylan got a fever followed by vomiting. And so went our Sunday leaving us wondering what would be best thing for us to do. We decided that leaving Dylan at my parents with this aweful stomach virus would not be nice and so we all drove up on Sunday after spending a wonderful time with Kevin and Jen. (thanks for coming guys!) We made it to Atlanta at 4am and got about 2 hours of sleep before Ken had to be at the airport. Dylan spent the next 3 days sick and I was glad my mom was there to help. He started feeling better in time to pick up Cris at the airport. It was great seeing Cris again and he looked great. Much thinner than when he left. We took care of that and brought him a Krispy Kreme donut to the airport and stopped by Taco Bell on the way home. Yum... We had a fun weekend catching up and hearing stories about Spain. When we got home Cris went to put on his slippers and stopped himself and said; "Wait, there's carpet here!" (We're glad you're back Cris.)
And then since we only had one car, and because Jordan is the most active 7 month in the world. We came home yesterday so Ken could drive to Huntsville, Jordan would have less things to get hurt on and Dylan could start school on time. It's good to be home and I hope I still feel that way after spending the week alone with the boys. Have a good one!

Dylan and I did an art project together to keep him from getting bored. He sponge painted a welcome home sign for Cris.  Posted by Picasa

I helped him by holding his elbow. He had so much fun. Posted by Picasa

One hot babe...

It's so weird I can't even think of anything we did this week. It's all a blurr... we are all settled after our little trip to Atlanta and are going to be preparing for another trip this weekend. Ken and Dylan are driving out on Sunday afternoon to Atlanta. Ken will be flying out on Monday morning to Portland and Dylan is going to spend a few days with the grandparents. He's really excited. Jordan and I will drive up on Thursday to be there when my little brother get's home from his mission in Spain. I'm really excited to see him again and have him meet Jordan. I'm hoping to bring both of my brothers back to Florida with me.
I was a bad Mommy this week, I don't have a single picture of Dylan. He had a great week though. He had some fun days in school. On Thursday, his daily report said that they danced in music class to "Saturday Night Fever" and did finger pointing. It said that he had so much fun. I talked to him about it and he couldn't stop laughing. He loves school so much I hope that going to grandma's will help him not remember that he doesn't have school for 2 weeks.
Jordan has 2 teeth now and is crawling properly all over the place. Or at least he was up till yesterday when he spiked a fever and wanted to be held all day. Today we took him to a Doctor friend of ours and he saw that he had an ear infection and called in some medicine for him. He's feeling a little better and I'm hoping that he sleep tonight. We were up all night last night trying to keep his fever down.
Okay, that's all for this week. Take care.

They say if you don't like the weather in Florida to wait 15 minutes. When we left the house this afternoon, to our right it was cloudy and ready to storm. Posted by Picasa

To our left hardly a cloud in the sky. Posted by Picasa

Jordan can pull up to almost everything now, so here is his first boo-boo.  Posted by Picasa
