Just me and Dylan...

This week has come and gone way too quickly. Ken was swamped at work this week and it seems like we hardly got to see each other. We made sure to have a fun weekend before he left to present at a conference in Santa Fe this week. We took the boys to the playground here in town that becomes a fun little water park during the summer. Then on Saturday we went to Pensacola and had fun shopping. Maybe just I had fun. A new Joanns opened and everything was 50 % off. Woo hoo! I got some Disney papers ( for when I do our Disney album) and a punch I've been wanting. Besides that we have been preparing for a possible hurricane that is now going to hit in New Orlean. I feel so bad for those people with this being such a huge storm, but I'm glad I don't have to deal with it when Ken is out of town. He left this afternoon and took Jordan with him. Not to Santa Fe, but dropped him off in Atlanta with my parents. It was a last minute idea. Ken was worried about leaving me with boys incase Katrina decided to take a turn our way. I told him I would be fine, but then he said he had a long layover in Atlanta and it was too bad Dylan was in school or he cold take him to Atlanta. Then he said I should take Jordan. I was hesitant at first, but I finished weening him so he doen't need me anymore and then I started thinking of everything I have to to this week and all the sudden I thought; why not? They arrived to Atlanta at 4:30 pm and I just got off the phone with my mom and he's a happy kid already in bed.
Dylan is also a happy kid getting all his mom's attention. School is cancelled tomorrow and so it will be fun having him home and spending alone time together again. He had botox on his legs 2 weeks ago and he is showing some great progress in his sitting. I'm looking forward to working with him without interuption from a jealous little brother. And he has a couple appointments in Pensacola this week too. So it should be a busy week. Ken and Jordan return early friday afternoon. hope you all are great week and leave comments. As soon as the diaper comes off he crawls as fast as he can to the tub. If I'm following him, it's cute. If I have forgotten to close the door and I'm not watching him, it's scary. We won't make that mistake again.

Just stuff...

My brothers left on Monday and the boys sure do miss the extra attention. They had fun playing together. It will be Christmas before we are all together again. After they left it was appointments and laundry galore. Not so much fun. Jordan had a well baby and is weighing 21 lbs. This was his 6 month check up. (he's 8 months old, I'm running behind.) I think it's that second baby syndrome. while the doctor was checking on him she found that he is already doing all the things a 9 month old should do so I don't have to take him back till he's a year. Hopefully I'll remember to take him back then.
We had a slow weekend, Ken went to play softball on Saturday morning and the boys and I went to watch. It took me about an hour and a half to get ready. Dress myself and the boys, feed them breakfast and pack a diaper bag for the morning. Plus I lathered them in suncreen. That alone took 20 minutes, Jordan didn't like it too much. The fields were about 25 minutes away. By the time I got there Ken was all warmed up and was waiting for his team to play. They played the winner of the game before. The boys did great for the first 30 minutes. They sat in their jogging stroller and just watched what was going on. Then it was finally Ken's turn to play and the boys went nuts. They both wanted out and I was trying to keep them both happy and watch the game. By this point it was starting to get hot. So we got to see Ken hit once before I had enough of the crying and went home. so I spent a total of 45 minutes at the fields. It took longer than that to get ready. I was pretty frustrated. Oh well....now I know for next time to just stay home. That about sums up our week. Have a good one and leave comments.

Panama city Beach

What a fun weekend we've had. My brothers came in on Thursday afternoon and we took them down to Panama City Beach. We stayed the night at the Legacy beach resort. It was so nice. We were able to enjoy the beach and pool and have a cool place to lay the boys down for naps. We had fun. On Saturday we went shopping in Destin and David got the boys braves hats. They look so cute. I have tons of pictures so I'll keep this short. Have a great week.
